Produções independentes da Netflix têm feito sucesso não apenas com o público, mas também com a crítica. Entre os indicados ao Emmy Awards deste ano, tanto “Orange is the New Black” quanto “House of Cards” foram grandes destaques. Além disso, dentre as premiações oferecidas a programas de TV por assinatura, não é nenhuma surpresa ver “Game of Thrones” como o grande destaque, com 19 indicações ao Emmy, inclusive a de melhor série dramática da TV.
A premiação ocorrerá um mês antes que o normal, em uma segunda-feira dia 25 de agosto, no Nokia Theatre em Los Angeles. O apresentador será o comediante e ex-participante do programa Saturday Night Live, Seth Meyers.
